Portraits & Pours is a guided portrait experience built around atmosphere, conversation, and character. Whether the setting is a winery, whiskey room, cocktail bar, distillery, private club, or something entirely your own, the goal is the same: create photographs that feel polished, natural, and connected to the environment.
I guide the lighting, posture, expression, and details throughout the session while leaving enough room for the experience to feel relaxed and genuine.
The result is editorial portraiture with personality, presence, and a strong sense of place.

THE PRIVATE POUR
A more personal Portraits & Pours experience, created entirely around you.
The Private Pour is a bespoke portrait commission designed for clients who want more time, more creative freedom, and an experience built around their own story.
Your session can take place inside the Abaci Photo mobile studio — a private, professionally lit portrait space that can come to you — or at a location chosen specifically for the experience.
That might be your home, a private bar, whiskey room, winery, distillery, hotel, private club, or destination setting. Every detail — lighting, wardrobe, atmosphere, location, and direction — is developed around what we want to create.
Fine-art prints, custom framing, and additional presentation options may be added to the commission.

Portraits & Pours can be brought directly to bars, distilleries, wineries, tasting rooms, private clubs, hospitality venues, brand events, and private gatherings.
I bring the lighting, direction, and portrait experience. Depending on the event, we can create the portrait setting inside your venue or bring the Abaci Photo mobile studio directly to the location.
You provide the atmosphere, the pours, and the people. I create the portraits.
PORTRAIT NIGHTS
A dedicated evening of professionally directed portraits for guests, members, or customers — built around the atmosphere of your venue.
TASTINGS & CLUB EXPERIENCES
Wine clubs, whiskey groups, cocktail events, member nights, tastings, pairing dinners, and other gatherings centered around shared pours and conversation.
BRAND & RELEASE EVENTS
Bottle releases, spirit launches, winemaker dinners, distillery events, cocktail activations, promotional experiences, and hospitality collaborations.
PRIVATE & SPECIAL EVENTS
Birthdays, anniversaries, corporate gatherings, private dinners, celebrations, and other occasions where great drinks and interesting people come together.
Event experiences are custom planned around location, guest count, timing, mobile studio access, and creative scope.

YOU STEP IN
FRONT OF THE
CAMERA.
You don’t need to be a connoisseur, know how to pose, or arrive with a plan. I’ll guide the experience from beginning to end.
01 DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO POSE? +
Not at all. I’ll guide posture, expression, hand placement, movement, and the small details throughout the session.
The goal is to give you enough direction to feel confident without making the portraits feel stiff or overly posed.
02 ARE DRINKS PROVIDED? +
Drinks are not automatically included with the portrait session.
At bars, wineries, distilleries, tasting rooms, private clubs, and events, beverages may be available through the venue or host. For private sessions, we’ll discuss the setting and details during the planning process.
03 DO I NEED TO DRINK ALCOHOL TO BOOK A SESSION? +
No. Drinking is never required.
The pour is part of the atmosphere and visual language of the experience, but the portrait is about you. Non-alcoholic options work just as well.
04 CAN MY PARTNER OR A FRIEND BE PHOTOGRAPHED WITH ME? +
Absolutely. Portraits & Pours can work beautifully for individuals, couples, friends, and small groups.
If you plan to include additional people, let me know ahead of time so the session can be planned appropriately.
05 WHERE CAN THE SESSION TAKE PLACE? +
Sessions can be created inside the Abaci Photo mobile studio or at a location that fits the experience.
That might be a winery, distillery, cocktail bar, whiskey room, private club, hotel, your home, an event venue, or another setting chosen specifically for the portraits.
The mobile studio provides a private, professionally lit portrait environment that can come directly to the location.
06 WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? +
Wear something that feels like an elevated version of you. Jackets, dresses, textured fabrics, dark neutrals, rich colors, and clean silhouettes all photograph beautifully.
Try to avoid large logos and overly busy patterns. If you’re unsure, we can talk through wardrobe before the session.
07 HOW DO I CHOOSE MY FINISHED PORTRAITS? +
After the session, you’ll receive a curated proof gallery. You can review the photographs at your own pace and select the images included with your chosen experience.
The Reserve includes complete access to the edited collection.
08 WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE? +
If something changes, contact me as soon as possible. Rescheduling is handled according to the booking terms for your session or event.
