Photographed at sunset in the wine country of southern Utah, Tannic brings two cottonwoods into the same landscape — one still living, reaching into the fading light, and another weathered and fallen beside it.
There is no single moment when a landscape becomes old. It happens quietly. Seasons pass. Trees grow. Light changes. What once stood eventually settles back into the earth around it.
Tannic is less about loss than transition — the temporary nature of the things we assume will remain, and the beauty found in seeing different stages of that passage occupying the same place.

Tannic is available in 16 × 24, 24 × 36, and 32 × 48 inches — allowing the work to feel intimate, substantial, or architectural depending on the space.
At larger sizes, the texture of the cottonwood, the fading light, and the relationship between the living and fallen trees become increasingly present within the room.
